Persuading someone in English
Every phrase below is a fixed shape you can fill in and use immediately, ordered from the simplest to the most advanced. Each one carries what it means in English and in Hindi, three examples that vary the slot, and the situations it actually gets said in.
The phrases
Simplest first. The braces mark the part you change.

I would argue that {CLAUSE}
B2Put forward a position, signalling that you know it is arguable.
मैं यह तर्क रखूँगा/रखूँगी कि ___।
- I would argue that the real cost is the time, not the money.
- I would argue that we already have the data we need.
- I would argue that this is a design question, not a technical one.
Formal — writing, presentations, officials · say it as: I would argue / that the real cost is the time · used at work, college
